“Today, I’m a Filipino..”

“Ngayong araw na ito, ako ay Pilipino.”

“Hindi ako sumasang-ayon o tumututol, nais ko lang ipahayag ang aking saloobin. Natatakot akong dumating muli ang panahong sila lang ang maririnig, na nawala na ang ating karapatang ████████████████████
[ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴛ ʙʟᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175).”

Nakakatakot,
Hindi dahil sa maari kang makulong
Nakakatakot,
Kailangang magsalita ng pabulong

Matagal ka naming inasam
Matagal ding ipinaglaban
Darating bang ika’y hiram?

Tagalog yan, para maintindihan mo. -the mistress =))

oyyyhaaaa, baka makulong ako sa pagsulat ng isang tula. oyyhaaa HAHA

Isang pagbati ng magandang araw, (maganda nga ba?)

“Today, I’m a painter”

Hello world of blogging! I’ve been very busy for the past weeks and haven’t updated this. [Sorry for that my little blog 😥 ]

Anyway, Today, I’ll be featuring the artistic side of me. Today, I’m a painter! I’ll be adding colors to my new friend, the clipboard. The clipboard has been very supportive of me since I started my internship and mini event organizing activities and so, today is her make-over day! Yey!

Bags and wallets I bought from Thailand last year. My bedsheet and soon to be floral clipboard.

I’ve always been a fan of floral patterns. From bag, wallets, bed sheets & curtains, my simple possessions. I’m still a student and  don’t earn yet so I still can’t follow my kalandian in life. I swear I’ll be collecting floral patterned items, including the well known cath kidston stuffs which I really love, once I start earning money. I decided to add touch of my floral love to my clipboard and painted some cute flowers. I used poster paint and brushes and the clipboard is my canvass.

I only played around with these colors and some shades were really hard to achieve. whew!

And this is the final result, ta-da! My clipboard with a floral make-over! :3 So happy to have a clipboard with a design only I own. I kept it simple because i think that too much design would add so much clutter to my head too. haha. Sorry, I’m just an amateur, feeling painter =))

Go paint your own clipboard too! 🙂

Live a fun, colorful and YOUNG life everyone!

“Today, I’m an event organizer”

Earlier today, my friend and I went to Bulacan, which is a 45 minutes drive from Manila, to meet up with our close friend’s mom. She is planning to have a  surprise party for our friend and asked if we could organize the party for her. We gladly take the chance to surprise our dear friend 🙂 We are now done on the planning stage and we’re hoping we could execute all these fun and exciting ideas we have in mind.

So, today, following number 85 of my Navi (my planner, if you have read my previous post) ,I would like to share some of my simple knowledge on how to make your events well planned and organized. Actually these are just simple advice yet some forget to take note of these things:

#85 of Navi, 101 Thing to do for 2012

  1. Set your calendar. From the date you formulated your ideas up to the event date, make your own calendar of the things you have to accomplish within the most realistic time frame whether it’s 6 months from today. It is better that your ready than mess up with the whole party. In our case, we only have ONE month to arrange everything, plus that we are busy in our practicum. Wooh! Time management, I need yoou baby!
  2. Group the materialsWhen I say materials, it’s everything that is involved in the party. This part is a bit complex and the most detailed of all. Hmm, let me put it like this, we have 7groups and everything you could think of falls under these groups:
    • Reception– food & beverage, venue
    • Documentation – theme, color palette, designs, invitation if the event is corporate include here the letters
    • Personnel– attire of guests, make up, photographer
    • PATS (physical arrangement and technical support)- stage design, sounds, lightings
    • Marketing-souvenir (if there’s any), photobooth and anything that would encourage people to attend your event
    • Registration– number of attendees, contact details
    • and lastly Program– the flow of events from ingres, event proper to egress.

Ok, some may sound too technical but I think these are the simpliest terms. Sorry for that :p

  3. Ready your Checklist! My favorite of all. Not the listing  part but the checking hehe. It’s fun checking the things you’ve already accomplished. List things like needs for event proper, materials, contact details of supplier, guests, special reminders. Check if you miss out on anything, this would be your guide and a help to be updated on everything. This would be your life savior during those cluttered head, messed life event days.

PS. Clipboards are of great help. I swear!

Actually, organizing an event is really fun specialy if you know that after the most awaited day, you will add a smile on your guest’s face.

Hope this could help a lot if you wish to organize your own event, may it be big or simple.

So YOUNG to organize an event, pressure on my part ~brrr. How I wish this surprise birthday party would be a big success! *crossfingers* Wish us luck! 😀

Off to Bulacan!

“Today, I’m a blogger”

Never in my wildest dream had I imagined myself writing for a blog entry. Really not. I’m not used of posting things about this and that or say comments about things but something inspired me to do so. I have this planner for 2012 and it has a list of 101 things to do before the year ends. On the list is number 45, “Do something that takes you out of your normal”. And yes! For me it’s blogging =))

Navi 2012

45. do something that takes you out of your “normal”

I am not that active in social networking. Seldom do I update my facebook, I do not a have a twitter account (yep, caveman it is), I do not enjoy texting ( even my friends will testify that HAHA) and blogging is not my cup of tea. But I think it’s never too late to venture in to something foreign to me. As what my planner says, “I work for positive change” and I can’t do that without taking a leap and do something out of my normal habit.

Hoping I’ll enjoy this whole thing, make my life exciting and invite positive vibes for 2012 and the coming years. Seriously, I still do not have a plan of what my blog will be but I’ll try to post things about my normal life, things that I do not usually do and who I am for the day.

I’m still YOUNG and there are a lot of things I would like to try 🙂

Hoping you a fun day!
